Just when we thought there wouldn't be any more beans....

We were about to let the beans just go to seed, but went out one more time just to see what was growing on the vines, and there were a bazillion! We filled the big bowl with them, and, for the most part, they were in pretty good shape. Usually, when the beans are at the end, they get all short and curly, and this had started happening awhile back, but they seem to be getting a second wind now. Not sure what's going on, but we're happy to eat them!

Beans, beans, beans! In the bowl. I know what I'll be eating for dinner!
The vines are starting to get a bit yellow in spots, but it seems like our cool summer has extended their life. Three cheers for climate change!

The beanstalks in the front yard.
This carnivore doesn't know what she's missing!
