Five Years In. Part Two: The Sweater

When I started designing the sweater after lunch today, the official death toll was 3990. By the time I got the design where I wanted it, two more soldiers had died. I revised the final design to reflect this number.

Whiny and weak, ever knit a sweater for the 9/11 dead? Khobar towers? USS Cole? D Day? Inchon? A local charity sponsored Lacrosse Day of Champions at Manhasset High School. The event was held in memory of former Duke player and Manhasset native Sgt. James Regan, an Army ranger killed in Iraq in February 2007. All funds benefit fallen Rangers and their loved ones. You moan and knit, useless.
